Hi guys, just came back from a house that used to be rented, its fully fitted with emergency lights fire alarms emergency switches etc,, the client now wants rid of this, all he wants is the smokes,
it seems to all be on the lighting circuit as there is no breaker in place.

without having to spoil any delightful decor that the tenants have left behind i'm thinking just to disconnect the alarms from their feeds and removing the units, leaving all wiring in place. (dead of course)

btw im not very experienced only a few years on the tools, am i correct in thinking this will all be fine i dont see any possible dangers??
...

No daubt you will find the the feeds to the em`s are taken from the the nearest lighting loop feed, would suggest neater and safer to disconnect at the light and pull the cable out

yeah im having 2nd thoughts about leaving them in,,, just saw a b&q advert can only imagine how much fun a diy'er will have with all those fire rated cables.

Why worry? Just disconnect them from where they're fed chop them back so they cannot be reconnected. If you want a weigh in then pull them out. Either way jobs a goodun
