Can I conform that performing Ics (array short circuit current) I am indeed safe to connect the + and - together and clamp meter around to obtain the reading?

It may well sound like a stupid question, but its worth me asking as I don't fancy telling the boss I'v just knackered up his lovely new panels!

I know its against all we do in electrical terms but yes you have to short circuit the + and -, unlike the grid there is only a limited amount of current that can flow.

Also remember try not to hot switch with the plug & sockets - use a dc isolator.
