Solution for earthing SWA cable whose armour strands have been cut too short

Hey everyone,

got a bit of a dilemma here, I installed an isolator in a meter cupboard, unfortunately, I really did not measure things up and trimmed the SWA steel strands a bit too short, an EICR was conducted and this was flagged up. I don't think I can get a gland in anymore so wondering if there was any other way to ground the shield as I really don't want to think about the alternative.

Much appreciated in advance

how short is short?

Can you add a bush and coupling between the gland and the enclosure?
basically, if I gland the SWA, it will be outside the meter box. Kicking myself for not seeing this
No problem

If a coupler is not long enough use 2 and a nipple

Thank you all for your replies, I used the jointing paste and the drawing provided by little spark was exactly suitable, the installation has now passed and I couldnt have done this without your help

regards
