I know this may sound a bit strange, but after hours of googling I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of where I can get a copy of Spanish wiring regulations (if there are such things) in English. Cheers
There is the regulation, the recommendations by the electrical distributors and questions the ministry. All levels of regulation must be applied.
Whether it is checked in 2 years or 20 years, the electrician who did the installation is responsible in Spain unless able to prove that it was modified since.
Places with public access are especially complicated.
LEgrad offers a guide international which explains some superficial basics in a pdf file: just search guide international on google.
Now it seems inspectors in Spain can be either very strict or lax on a lazy day.
Yeh ! well i will inform Gaspar the farmer (made good) who is working for endesa, and CANNOT even wire a spanish plug correctly about these REGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am from the United States and now living in Spain. Any regulations against me personally changing some of my outlet wiring? I noticed some that looked a little old and I have an occasional flicker in my ceiling light. Problem seems to be in 1 room only. I don't need to do anything in the circuit breaker nor qualified to do so. My apartment building is 40 years old.
