Hi,

I only have 1 socket in one my rooms but would like to install 2 more double sockets, the kitchen backs onto the room and i thinking about spurring of the one of the sockets in the kitchen, i was going to install fused spur (fused 13A) then off the load side install 2 double sockets. Is this ok? meet current regs?

All help appreciated

Thanks

Could i extend one of the cables using 30amp connector blocks in the back box of the existing socket, then i could make the 2 new sockets part of the ring?

any thoughts on this?

Nothing to say you couldn't, not ideal though, if connections are done correctly I would use wagos instead of connector block, and change the back box to a 47mm give some room

just a thought, does it have a separate kitchen ring? don't like the idea of 2 sockets in one room fed off the kitchen ring and the other fed off the house ring, I know its not against regs but always the potential for some numpty to attempt diy in the future.
