Square metres

Having brain freeze at mo after few beers so just a quick one a 20a radial your allowed no more than 50 square metres how do I calculate this to metres if it was a straight run for my radial

Well, you could have a very long & narrow room, 100m x 0.5m
or a square room 7m by 7m

well the square root of 50 is 7.07
so a 50 sq mtr area has 4 sides at 7 mtrs each.
so 4 x 7 = 28mtrs in a straight line.

The reason I asked was got asked to price for 12 sockets in dado run from db to first socket is 28 metres and then dado is 15 metres long so radial would be 43 metres long was trying to work out if it was ok

so if in dado..then no additional protection yes?...

So taking into account volt drop I would have to use 20a device Ie volt drop = 11x 20x43divided by 1000 = 9.46volts which is under the 5% allowed would you agree lads and that's me last post tonight going to watch the boxing thanks for your help
