Hi,
Just a quick one, got a board change next week and am going to extend everything using an enclosure and din rail etc, normally i just use twin and earth to extend it all but this one as it buts right up against it I was thinking about using singles.
My question is, at what point would you start putting ferrules on the ends that go into the neutral and earth bars? I know stranded should be ferrules to stop it breaking apart but its not exactly fine stranded. I just dont feel it needed to ferrule the end of the 1.5mm as its not find stranded.
I personally cant see any problems with it, just wondered what other peoples views were. I have never used singles in this situation before, 2.5mm singles seems pretty solid, its just the 1.5 that im more bothered about.
I just thought it would be easier to use singles this time that's all.
Ill take some photos before and after when I have done it for you to see.
