I personally swear by MG/Schneider product's, but even there RCD/RCBO devices aren't any more reliable than anyone else's, of that, i can assure you, ...and they are one of the most expensive names in the electrical industry!! lol!!
Too true...we mostly work with MG/Schneider/Square D and there RCBO trade price is £75!!!!...
- Discount of course...
Wow!! i didn't know you were getting stung that much in the UK!! I know that our contractor isn't paying anything like that figure for Schneider's SP or DP RCBO's.... lol!!
Don't particularly like the Square D stuff myself, but i do rate their industrial limit switches and the like. Maybe because i was brought up with them with the company i did all my training with. Can still remember all the series numbers too...lol!! The industrial relays/contactors were pretty good too.
We're definitely being stung...
Over here the square D and Schneider stuff is exactly the same, RCBOs, MCBs, DBs etc all the same. Merlin Gerin name has been dropped, with them just wanting to use the name Schneider...apart from on there square D stuff lol...so if you need a MG part it will now come as Schneider...
Is it the same there?...
I know all about MG and Schneider, virtually all of my past projects have been MG For both MV and LV and will be again on my present project...
Yeh didn't want to seem like I was telling you there scholar, I know you know your onions, just with you mentioning MG I wondered if they where still using the brand in your corner of the world
