Hi everyone,

I recently completed a domestic EICR and came across something unusual. There’s a 10mm² twin and earth cable directly connected to the 100A cut-out fuse at the service head. The cable is concealed within the client’s wall and reappears next to the consumer unit, where it connects to a feeding cable that supplies the neighboring property.

After further investigation, I discovered that this cable is supplying power to the off-license shop next door and two flats above it.

Would you classify this as a C2? I’d appreciate your thoughts on this situation.

You need to contact the client and inform him that it needs to be disconnected.
If you leave it connected, then you are complicit in theft of electricity.
