For new builds for the supply authority to install their supply I'd imagine they have a set price or a price there about for installing their supply? Just asking as a client who is building a new house is seriously testing my patients. For the last 4 months (at least) he has been according to him "negotiating a price" as he thinks it's too expensive. Really starting to do my head in as I want the job done and need the cash and have no time for him to be fannying around! Would they negotiate or is he just coming it?

They start off with a price they think they can get away with - I know a local builder who converted a barn and then got quoted around ÂŁ50000 to install a supply from the nearest overheads about 1km away ( new hv poles and cables and transformer etc then 2 x 100 amp mains into the buildings)

50k!! That's insane! Gonna tell the guy to get his finger out and set him a deadline till see if that hrrys things up. He's a tight as anything! And is basically messing me about. Not wanting to fall out with him though as not good for business and I need paid!
