I've been searching for a part that I used once and can't remember where it came from but I thought it was a neat little idea and could save some time if doing a lot of swa gland terminations. The part in question is a brass banjo with a flying lead soldered onto it! I want to buy a pack of 50 for a job I'm doing but I couldn't find anything.
Any help is appreciated if you have seen these please tell me where I can buy :)
Ps eathing nuts are too expensive
Cheers

Re: SWA earthing tags (20mm) with wire

Why not make your own up if that's the way you want to do it?
The gland packs come with banjos in them !
Unless you have a job lot of glands with no locknuts and shrounds:)

Re: SWA earthing tags (20mm) with wire

It's something that could save a bit of time but never mind, good old bolt and nut method it is.
Has anyone had experienced with the swa cutter tool? (Like plumbers pipe slice) for cutting then snapping off the armours. Do they save time?

I have one, Kewtech blade runner or something, actually not bad to get a nice even cut across the armour, but i constantly forget i have it, and have always only remembered once i have taken the hacksaw to it anyway.

Expensive for what it is, but if you do a lot of SWA, i have to actually recommend it.

Is it actually any good though wade? I've never really thought about buying one.

Just wrap abit of electrical tape around the armour to make sure you've got it straight and cut around the edge of it with a junior :) Doesn't matter if it's not that straight though anyway, the shroud covers it up - rough arse i know :38:

It is quite quick once you get your eye in with it. It's just like a pipe cutter in operation, you just have to keep slightly tightening the jaw after a few revolutions. I am a big fan of just using the junior too, and for heavy core SWA, this thing is pants.

All the lamp post cutouts I've ever seen have a twin swa gland plate built in to the base.
