Have been looking into this barclaycard have a good offer on at the moment. With a mobile machine so can take payments onsite. Main point of going down this route saves time by cutting out having to goto the bank to put cash and cheques in. No waiting for cheques to clear.
Just wondered if any one else does this

I looked at it, it's not so bad for debit cards (around 50p charge, but for credit cards it was around 5-6% of the transaction).

  • After the 3 month offer period:
    • A monthly PDQ terminal fee or ePDQ management fee of ÂŁ14.95 to ÂŁ27.00 plus VAT will be charged, depending on the product taken.
    • A merchant services charge will apply to each transaction, dependent upon card type used. A monthly minimum billing charge of ÂŁ20.00 will apply if your merchant services charges are less than this.
    • An additional transaction fee will also apply for ePDQ products.
  • The ÂŁ1 fee applies per product or terminal taken and is subject to VAT where applicable. Full details will be available in your application pack.
  • An 18 month minimum term may apply, depending on the product taken.

how many customers want to pay by card though?? im probably spending 15 quid on banking cash and cheques so i see logic... and there is no excuse when they say the need to go cash pint.... AHEM.... card please..!

have been asking customers over the last couple of weeks and most said they would be happy to pay by card. Also cheque payments take 5 working days to clear card payment hits your account next working day. Not excuse for not paying you for any extra work. like you said card please
