Hi guys, I've just started this course in mid september. Finished my first module AME. Found it just like being back in AS/A level maths so had no real issues and got a distinction overall so any questions just give me a shout, i'll be pretty proactive on here over the course of it! Just started engineering science and I can tell the first 2 modules are going to be grim but doesn't look any harder than AME! How are you finding Engineering Science so far @AyresomeBoro? I've just started reading the notes today. @Tom morgan I didn't have one for AME but usually it sounds like they just get you to walk through your answers and any incorrect ones see if you knew where you went wrong. Quite informal i think.

I haven't looked at it yet, have you started any assignments for it?

Not yet, currently gone through lessons 1, 2 and half of 3. Some of it's very easy to understand, other bits are bit like, i don't know what I've just learnt. Looks a bit of a grim start though, others have said ENS is a bit of a struggle till nearer the end, being electrically biased looking at mechanical concepts.

Hi all,
Just started TMA 01 for Engineering Science and my gosh does it make AME look simple. Anyone who has done it who can offer some advice or is doing it now and wishes to discuss how they've gone about it please feel free!

Has anybody on here not used much of the lessons they send out? I find their material a bit confusing at best so am using other textbooks etc.. just wondered if anyone else found this to be the case

i done my intro to electrical and electronic engineering then i went on to do my NC then got mid way through my HNC but got an apprenticeship being a sparky still have all my course work if u could explain what it is you are stuck on thanks

Maybe that came out wrong.. i'm not stuck on anything i just find the notes are very confusing and i find it easier using text books like the john bird ones etc.. just wondered if anyone else did it this way.. ame especially as thats what i'm on

Lost focus with HNC over Christmas and then I had the flu. I've picked the work back up over the last 2/3 weeks.

Assignment 1 (Static Engineering Systems) of Engineering Science is a ball ache! I've had a rough attempt at the answers sat waiting to be submitted for a while but I'm not confident they're correct, especially the graphs.

Assignment 2 looks more of the same so also swerving that for now.

I Completed assignment 3 (D.C Circuits) to Distinction.

Assignment 4 (A.C Circuits) is almost complete too.

Can anyone help with 'Sketch the Waveforms of Harmonic Components' graph on ENS-4?

All the graphs so far I have done by hand on graph paper. Should I be using a software programme to do this?

I just watched YouTube video on how to make a sine wave graph on excel and then used excel to make the harmonic graphs.
