The old ceramic connectors were called SCREWITS Used in forties N fifties. Tallow was also used as a lubricant for threading conduit when i did my apprenticeshipAlmost.The first is cutting compound the second is the old connectors you used to get that you twist together.I never did know the proper name for them

Always nice when some asks "have you found out why it's not working yet" to be able to say " yeah it's fooked" when they are expecting a technically worded explanation.
