just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with obtaining a delivery date from test-meter.co.uk. i have ordered a new megger mft1700 series from them but when i try to call, the phone just rings out and i dont get a reply to my emails. at the minute i am having to rent another meter from an electrician pal of mine which is extra costs i can ill afford as my meter hasnt been delivered yet. its been 2 weeks now, funds have cleared but nothing..........
any thoughts?

On another note, if anyone is looking for a Megger MFT1710, I can confirm that we now have quite a few in stock. The MFT1720 and 1730 are still outstanding and on back order.

I ordered an MFT1730 onsite from test-meter.co.uk 2 days ago. I knew about the potential delays but naturally wanted to know when I should expect delivery.
phone was answered almost immediately and the polite and helpful guy at other end explained that the delay was due to a manufacturing rig breaking down in the factory prior to original launch date and that they are gradually getting back on track. lead time is now around 2 weeks and they are being allocated on a 1st ordered 1st despatched basis. I'll let you know when mine arrives

finally arrived 23/06/2011. to be fair test-meter.co.uk phoned me on friday and said they had a MFT1730 (not on-site) that I could have but i would have to wait for software and earth spike kit to arrive. TT systems are everywhere where I live so I opted to wait and it was only 4 days more. gonna have a play with it over the weekend but 1st impressions are that it is well thought out and looks very sturdy

every time i've emailed or phoned test-meter.co.uk they have been really polite and helpful. I've waited 6 weeks but I knew there would be a delay before I ordered. They are probably inundated with annoying questions about MFT1700 waiting lists but they still go the extra mile to find out when its due in. I even asked if they would change the free gift from multimeter to the voltage indicator as offer changed while I was waiting and this was done straight away for me. really cannot fault them at all
