Thoughts on new name ?

Ultima Electrical, been looking for something different instead of the usual name or initials, Ultima is the best or the ultimate in latin, also there isn't another electrical company in the uk with this name and i was able to purchase the domain names, what do you think ?

Its the way the first and second words end and then start in a vowel sound. Doesn't trip of the tongue very easily is all.

Depends on your customer base here -

If you want a domestic base you tend to get more business using your name as its more trusting and personal.

If you are looking at the bigger scene then a power name is better as it gives an image of a large company able to deal with their needs.

Nothing wrong with your existing title tbh I use initials myself.

tbh, ultima sounds more like a minicar that.s eco friendly and does 400mpg as it's pedal powered.

My approach to it was call your self your name as people will remember it, I go round charm the customer and get on with them, leave them with a customised key ring and they know who I am.

my opinion is if you call yourself some random name, it's less likely someone will remember who you are when trying to find that company, who was it again? What were they called??? But if for example you can hopefully get them to remember your first name, there is a good chance you will be found.

for example, my name is Tom, I'm an electrician and live in Market Harborough. It will take someone 30 seconds to find you.

Go for igniculus; means spark, fire, vehemence!

Nothing wrong with ultima, but you would need to be able to live up to it!
It has been thought of before in many areas, but not in electrical work apparently.

its just that i have a very common name and very common initials i type jm electrical or murray electrical into google and hundreds of businesses come up and trying to get a good domain for these is near on impossible, so thats why i am trying to think of something else, any other ideas are more than welcome ?

Potential, new customers aren’t going to be typing XX electricals etc into google
They’re going to be typing something like: electrician - location.
I'm sure you knew that, not meaning to be ......

Ultima, I like that name
Nice and short; easier for logos, tee shirt, and other promotional items.

Only downsides I see is:
Anywhere with alphabetical listing - you’ll be near the bottom.
You’ll might get sick of people asking you how to spell it.

One other criteria I apply when choosing domain names is how it sounds when you answer the phone in a professional manner. EG “Good morning, JM Electricals, how can I help you”, sounds good, Ultima sounds OK too !

Yep I think it sounds good, ignore everyone else!;-)
