The size of the conductor in relation to the back up fuse - the cable could be so overloaded that it would be a definite fire risk while the so-called 'OCPD' wouldn't even be warming up. COMPLETELYdifferent of course if there is further appropriate protection before any load on the circuit.
There needs to be one point of isolation for the whole installation does there not?. Could be coded for that, of course if there is no upstream device. No code if there is a fuse before any fixed wire equipment is installed.
What difference is there between this situation and a busbar chamber?
Can someone please exaon why it would be a C2 on a EICR? Until its known what it is feeding there can be no code given.
I'm now chuckling at the thought that someone who would jam a cable in with the tails would add downstream fusing appropriate to the connected loads. [/QUOT
Exactly !
Exactly !
This is true, and it wasn't an eicr that was carried out so coding wasn't required! If it was coded for further investigation then it still would be unsatisfactory! The cable still has the potential to be used for something else, and with a diy expert potentially on the loose this could easily happen, so a C2 for potential danger if a foreseeable event was to occur.......
I will refer you toot his thread then. Which then means it can be coded accordingly.

Does that stop someone changing whatever is being fed in the future? The cable still isn't protected!
