Hum, has there ever been a Conservative majority in Scotland? That said no single party has had 50.0001% of the vote in the UK either!
Ferg said that sometimes a government of a particular side of the spectrum is needed. The point of the post was that Scotland has obviously never felt the need for a tory majority in the past so why would it in the future.

Politicians all talk ****e.

I would like to have heard from some non political civil servants about the true cost of independance.

The cost of setting up all the beuraucracy needed to run a country.

Businesses like stability and a yes vote would adversely affect that for at least a few years.

The country sometimes needs a labour government and sometimes conservative. Otherwise the party in power gets complacent and stagnant.
If we got independance then we would never get a tory government when needed.

Thats an interesting point as Labour and the Liberals got the majority of the votes in 2010!

Any future elections in Scotland will be Liberal or Labour or SN Labour - so hardly a whisker between them!

What needs to remembered is that Scotland voted for independence in 79 only to be outdone by a ruling that 40% of the electorate was needed as a majority
even in the event of a yes vote I can see some sort of devo max deal done.
as the question on the paper is-
should Scotland be an independent country yes/no
no guarantees that it will be an independent country then?!
remember a lot of English jobs are supported by the North Sea oil and gas and it's all tied together

But labour only spend after decades of public spending cuts to modernise a third world britain, if the Tories actually cared about the people of the country and they spent some money on schools and infrastructure without selling everything off and actual invested in the country labour wouldn't have to do it lol, look at germany's last 50 years compaired to ours.

No not many, but 22% of your jobs is in the public sector, you need to worry about your jobs lol

My last comment before the decision tommorrow, I like Scotland, I really do, I wind them up for fun and fun only, I will be upset should our brothers and sisters up there want independence. Whatever the decision I will still consider the Scottish people family, I hope they stay, but I will not be nasty towards them should they say Yes.

BES comments like a f**k off scotland party just make you look like a pr*ck!!!!
Hahaha go and eat some deep fried mars bars. Got quite a few coming to the party if you lot vote Yes. Fancy dress as well all wearing skirts and ginger wigs with tartan hats waving claymores shouting freedom and drinking cans of special brew.
