TN-C-S or TN-S ??? | on ElectriciansForums

Came across this on a rewire, looks to me like a TN-C-S, but had SNE on the side as you can see, we thought as the sheathing was metal it could mean (seperate neutral & earth) and be a TN-S, never seen before and could just be coincidence, a point in the right direction would be handy, cheers.

Do a standard loop test at the incomer position and record the result and then do a loop test with both earth and neutral prongs on the neutral incomer and line prong on the line incomer and record the result, if the results are the same it should be TN-C-S and if there is a difference in the results the characteristics should be TN-S. Don't forget to only test the main earth cable to eliminate paralel paths. If this fails you can contact the supply authority for the information.

You mean; PEFC and PSCC should come up with the same result = TN-C-S, if not then TN-S
