one thing to say and that is did c&g forget how to be staightforward? felt like some of the questions were half thought......

anyone else take it?

I did it last night I'm not sure if i passed it, in fact i'd rate it at 50/50! Found it hard but answered all the questions. This exam was nothing like the numerous mock exams we did in the run up to the real thing, it was much harder! I wish City and Guilds would just ask the question rather than trying to trip you up by wording it a difficult way!

This paper has got a lot of people talking by the looks of things. Let's hope that someone can find a copy of it quick so we can all go through it again and see where we went wrong and also people on here (like IQ, Widdler all all the other lads) can see what our problems were.

I too took the exam last night. The wording was bad enough to confuse even Giles Brendeth! I was told by my boss today that he knows electricians of 20 years experience that couldn't pass the previous papers he's seen so to fail this is no bad thing, you just need to think that the re-take can't be any worse. I've seen a lot of answers for the same questions and unfortunatly, there is sod all we can do about it now but wait....eeerrrggghhh..... Good luck to everbody who is chewing their fingernails to their elbows (like me). We all know our trade, it's just proving it in a 2.5 hr written exam thats the hard part. If I wanted to do paperwork, I'ed have become a teacher...no offence to tutors.
