my fatmax open tote is just about kaput, and i fancy something different. anyone got any recommendations?

also, does anyone recommend the traditional cantilever toolbox? my plastic toolbox is more like a coffin and i'm sick of lugging it about.

cheers.

I've scrapped the tote for a wheel able Stanley box, just fill it in the van then wheel it around the job, one of the better ideas I've had. I only fill it when I get to the job so it only ever has what I want in it, because its of a decent size I can also put my cordless drill box in it which saves dragging that around as well.

I use a Stanley backpack / wheel around. Good for heavy tools and also convenient when riding motorbike instead or driving

Veto pro pac nice bit of kit but bit on the expensive side. Facom make awesome toolbags. Solid construction. They also have handy covers on them aswell. Saves ur kit getting soaked if need arises to work in the rain! Personally rather drink tea until it stops.......

i had stanley with wheels, but bought a fat max bag, no matter what will always be choc a block and have stinking time dragging tools about... that why we charge what we charge...

Facom tool bags are excellent I've had mine for 5 years and its still going strong
i like these. bit dearer than the usual suspects but you get what you pay for, i suppose. my fatmax has hardly lasted 3 years. i like the cover on the facom as well. so many times i've had to empty my tools out of the bag and dry them.

i quite like these and i'm gonna take a closer look. don't fancy being the bloke that takes up 1/2 the room in the sitebox though!

I've got one of these from Stanley and it's brilliant:

Stanley 1-79-213 - electrotools

Apparently quite hard to get hold of though, it's just taken me a good few minutes to find one online. Holds all my basic tools. The rest is in a couple of heavy duty crates which I only lug out when I need them.
