Righteo.

Some of you may have noticed the Trainee section of the forum that I've created.

We'll hopefully end up with a bunch of guys in there who going through their training.

While they can share their own advice and chat about their different training providers and courses they're taking etc, I'd like to see a few heavily experienced guys in there who don't mind helping trainees with their questions they might have.

So perfect candidates for the guys would be lecturers, assessors, just really experienced sparky's - that sort of jazz.

Clearly we don't want any of the "Electrical Trainee Bashers" in there. So if you have a problem with 'them' (trainees), don't bother replying to this thread for me please. :)

So if you want to give me a shout either in this thread or via PM with the title "trainees" or something, I'll consider you all after having a natter with the moderators and Jase and whatnot.

Hi Dan & All,

Happy to help with all electrical courses. 17 years teaching and 40 years working in this field so have gained a little experience especially in 2391/2394/2395 inspection and testing, 2382 Regulations and 2377 PAT.

Happy to help out if you like, we have a policy of passing on our skills, so always have apprentices on our books - had 8 of them at the peak last year :) Our specialist areas are renewables and within that we focus on the commercial sector, so pretty niche.

No problems assisting if required, regards piccollo

Hello Guys, I'm not on the forum very often, but I have used it to see what you chaps are thinking.

I'm the HOD of an FE college with respondibility for electrical apprentices and apprenticeships. I teach 2357, 2391, 2382, 2330.

If I can be of assistance I am more than willing to help.

Regards

Jotabill

I'll help out, with regards to the issue of asking questions, I've always found it prudent to encourage trainees / apprentices to ask questions, after all a million questions along the way is surely better than one great big one at the end!

Hi
I am a retired college lecturer with over 30 years of teaching (about 20 years electronics and the rest electrical installations), so more a bookworm these days rather than recent hands on, I am chief examiner for many electrical courses with an alternative board to C&G, have taught all units of 2330 and the older 2360 both at levels 2 and 3. If you feel that I can help would be happy to do so.
Kind Regards
JohnC

Sorry dan should have said i have 28 years experience. Wired everything from a nuclear submarine to an aircraft carrier, experience with ac/dc motors and controls. In recent years i have experience with biomass plants (industrial scale) and other renewables. I also used to issue svq's as i held the old d32/33 qualifications. Apart from the many years spent in industrial and commercial work i also do domestic. I even have extensive knowledge of cable manufacturing having worked for bicc.

Happy to help in any way
