I'd still be interested to hear what you thought.
I don't recall very much, I think it was mostly about cable colours. There was some mention of a British Standard... It's a shame DW deleted his post, as it contained useful information (even if not relevant to your installation)... :)

Sorry Chem ' was just a bit long winded jargon regarding to the BS60204 for machinery and control systems as your panel you posted with the plc to panel sockets was breaching many regulations, mainly cosmetic like correct colour coding etc but as you are upside down to us its not applicable so withdrew the post.... but just to ease your curiousity this is what I was meaning..

Black - a.c. and d.c power circuits
Red - a.c. control circuits
Blue - d.c. control circuits
Orange - would be circuits not isolated by the main panel isolation point (tapped of the live side - eg panel light or anti-condensation heaters) or possible control circuits for interlocking but what ever they are assigned to Orange is a warning they may still be energised after switching of the panel interlock or supply be it integral to the panel or imported secondary power or control.

There are exeptions like multicore wires etc but just brushing over the regs not preaching them... you'll have your own to contend with although if you sell to the EU you will be complying to similar regs as we all fall under the EU LV directive.

You've mounted it 90 degrees anticlockwise away from how you should have done.

Great neat professional job, if any critisism and you may have reason, is that it is full i.e. no room for extra circuits...otherwise a nice job. May I ask what the 40amp unprotected mcb's are supplying.. ?
1 for DB office
2 for ?

Yes a very good point raised. I would of put a bigger board or double stacker in if i had the choice. Not my decision unfortunately.

One for the garage and one for the garden office building.

If its domestic then no worries I thought it was commercial so was going to say the 40amp mcb provides little discrimination for a fault in the office ....not a biggy in domestic though.

I added an edit too but I feel it also wasn't your decision either... the 40amp mcb supplying DB2 for office will have only low partial discrimination so a fault on any office equipment is just as likely to take out the 40amp supply mcb thus wiping out all office power, this is very poor design especially for an office supply where I suspect computers may be used.

Yes i agree. The tails should of been split and the office supplied from a switch fuse.

Yes it is domestic. We do mostly domestic but have some commercial work on the go also. Got some tray and metallic trunking work on tomorrow for a TPN board and outgoing supplies. Should be a bit more interesting.
