Hi All,

First and foremost this may not be in the correct forum but oh well, just don't come down on me too hard.

I am having great difficulties starting my NVQ 2356 level 3 I was enrolled on this course over a year ago with OCLI.

Correct me if i'm wrong but NVQ's in general required on the job work to build a portfolio of evidence to prove that you are capable to carry out the tasks required.

Since being enrolled i have yet to find any employer in the Bristol area to take myself on either paid or unpaid and if i'm truthfully honest begining to doubt that i'll ever get it started yet alone completed.

What makes it harder is that i currently have a full-time job so i am very limited to the amount of time i can do unpaid work (only weekends any any holiday days that i have)

Any advice, help or work experience would be very appreciated.

If you have enough experience you should be able to complete the NVQ on a self employed basis. Although I know work is virtually non- existent at the minute.

Three decent sized jobs will see you through.

What quals do you currently have?

I currently have the following

C&G 2377: Inspection and testing of electrical Equipment
C&G 2382: Requirements of Electrical Installations 17th edition
C&g 2330: Electrotechnical technology Installation Level 2&3
Intermidiate Certificate for Domestic Installers
National Certificate In Electrical Engineering
Hold a vaild ECS Card And Part P

My experience is zero which I know is a down fall but not getting a chance to gain any.
