So it can be replaced, the chip? Dose anyone know where in the London area I might get this fixed?
 
Hi Neil : Most professional flat screen tv shops should be able to do it for you, they'd have rework facilities.
 
Thanks, that sounds like a good idea and maybe they'll know the chip as well. They might even be able to fix the SDI board so I can stop messing with this HDMI converter.
