Hi guys

At a job doing a re wire and the electrician i was with is changing the earth cable over from 16mm to 6mm
He says as its a tt system that it only needs a 6mm.

Is this right?

Maybe he replaced it to prove a point to an apprentice. Actions speak louder than words and all that. Or maybe it's remote from the intake and 70 metres from the intake!

Seriously Tel, I’ve just looked at my avatar and I’m just coming up to 3000 posts. Now when I was at 2000 you were 46,379 ahead, I’m nearly at 3000 and you’re at 50,000 ahead.
Do I need to post more or think about it less?
Is there still a special room for the 3000 club?

Also use a tails gland and clamp if available and make sure tails are secured to a wall. The danger here is a live to earth fault in the Consumer Unit
