My pal who was assisting me with feeding t&e through conduit sprayed them with a silicone spray from skewfax, and all went well until my CK strippers refused to grip the insulation...

Looks like maybe the conduit isn't big enough for the cables you are using, judging from your description OP

You should be able to get a 1.5 and 2.5 T&E through a straight conduit run of 20mm conduit.

As conduit is designed for singles cables it's not intended to be restricted to only one cable. But you haven't stated what it is you're trying to achieve.

Some of the questions in this forum are obviously from the unskilled. WHY are they carrying out electrical works?
