Two way switch controlling two lights

I have recently upgraded my hallway lighting to a two way system and it worked perfectly fine on my original ceiling lights. I have now replaced the original lights with new fittings and now having issues. Only one light will work at a time depending on the removal or changing of bulbs in the other light. I am extremely confused. Any help would be appreciated???

Is there a dimmerswitch in place .prob unlikely if in hallway

It sounds like there wired in series which would be very odd if you just changed like for like.what type of lights are they is there a led driver in place ,is there 2 line and neutrals at first and 1 at second .did you alter any switches .you could send pictures if possible.maybe double check your sw wire and neutral connections are not loose

I’ve triple checked wiring and all making solid connections in terminals. The two way switch definitely works as it was fine on the original light fittings. There are 2 line and neutral at the first lamp and 1 line and neutral at the second lamp. All switches are 2 way switches and worked on the original lights. The bulbs are LED dimmable bulbs at 4w. Each light fitting has 3 bulbs. Hope this helps

You could try removing lights and using a volt meter testing to make sure you have 240v from live to neutral ,240v from live to earth and 0v from neutral to earth .put them in connectors as they are connected currently .check it from both 2 way switchs and intermediate if you have

Could the bulbs be an issue by any chance, I’ve swapped them for higher wattage bulbs and they’re fine now?

Possibly but that was normally an issue with low voltage lamps where the transformer had a minimum wattage to work .ie a 20 va transformer wouldn't power a 10 watt lamp.but that's not the case with yours if everything is mains voltage .would need to really test the circuit in question with a mft to be sure .faulty neutrals can do funny things.a broken neutral can effectively become live thru a lamp for instance

It’s almost like there’s not enough power to the lights, and if I remove a bulb from either light, the other light will brighten.

Each lamp should be receiving the same voltage regardless of removing 1 of them.only the current would decrease

.1 light dimming and 1 getting brighter might indicate a more serious fault somewhere else .you would need to really fully test the circuit .
