Yep it was much much better in the early 90's when people had to wait 18 moths to see a heart consultant...18 weeks at the end of the Labour term.
All them bloody hospitals them lefty lot built/refurbished during that time - Scandalous - The big mistake was using PFI BUT the centre ground/right of centre voted for new labour on the back of no tax rises - So the gold had to be sold and PFI used to deliver the promised building program that the pesky left lot wanted.
Then the school building program - same as NHS - had to be paid for through a no tax rise policy.
Can we also blame Labour for the EU and USA ect all getting into the same state as we did ? It is arguable that the USA are in a worse situation than us.
As for this government with its grasp on economics ? How many of them do have a degree in economics/maths or even accountancy ? I know for a fact that the chancellor does not hold any of these.
I have kept out of all this since Friday as it is just all hot air - We have a 5 year tory government which will obviously implode due to the fact that they have a majority of 5 - first big contentious issue and they are stuffed....unless they do deals with the irish parties.....not going to balance the book with backdoor deals though.
Yes I am gutted that we have a Tory government - but it's done now no use crying over spilt milk. At least UKIP got less seats than they started with......not nice not being listened too is it people ?
