waste of time, the customers that get caught by these people do not research the web first or they wouldnt be in the position in the first place.

Regarding the payback scheme, is it possible they say they will guarantee payback in 5 years (As ive heard from one customer i saved) but fully intend to fold the company within that 5 years? So none of it matters as they will not be around to honour it and they can rip as many customers off in that 5 years as they can.

yeah, but we've won a fair few jobs from people who have had this sort round on a salesvisit, or had a telesales call, then gone to check the company out on the web, or check out prices from other installers to see if they're being ripped off or not.

reckon we must have had 2-3 jobs via that route in the last 6 months.

Aye true but didn't they have a non existent Swiss bank underwriting the cashback thing? They must have found another one to back this.

Anything is possible.... Though limited companies are not as limited as some directors might believe... Bottom line is yes , and if all the customers did claim, it would probably fold like Bufett's ponzi scheme. One test would be to see if the company has assets to back it;s liabiliities (the payouts) if it doesn't it is trading insolvently and the directors could actually go to jail for that one

Phone rang yesterday. It was an automated calling system with a pre-recorded message about the benefits of pv. If I wanted a human to call back I had to press 8.

So I did. And turns out its a company call Eco Energy working "in partnership" with Barclays and the Royal Bank to provide people with pv systems. Apparently pv will earn me £1500 a year plus save 50% of my electricity bill. Barclays or Royal Bank will cover the entire cost of putting in the system and I don't need to pay a single penny from my own money. In return they take the feed in tariff and after about six years are covered and I then receive the Feed In Tariff for the remaining 14 years......

Seems to good an opportunity to miss.....apart from the fact that I'd be signing up to an unsecured flat rate loan the annual repayments of whichwould be almost three times the feed in tariff.....How many poor folk are taken in by this spiel...And how do they get away with acting like this...Interstingly at no point during the telephone script was the word loan mentioned...
