Due to illness I've fallen behind with my home renovation plans. I had mounted my new combi boiler (Sabre HE) 6 years ago but as yet have not plumbed or wired up any of the supplies to it. I plan to start running in the pipework soon.

Is there anything I should be worried about given the length of time it's been hanging in a very dry and warm cupboard?

Thanks guys.

Unless you're Gas safe registered and know what you're doing then leave well alone and get someone in that is registered ...

nowt to stop him doing the wet bits and get gas safe eng. to do the smells.

ask british gas. whatever they say, do the opposite.
i dont trust BG as the engineers are pressured in to lying to the cust to waste money example i was asket to look at a boiler BG had condemed due to a crack in the casing on inspection it was a pencil mark when i showed the cust she involved her son (a solicitor) so she ended up with a new system free of charge plus compensation

If it's ok for you to work on it then as above, spin the pump to free it, if it's stuck, other than that it should be ok. You may struggle with a warranty but I suppose that's obvious.
