Discuss Useful PDF's for trainees in the Electrical Course Trainees Only area at ElectriciansForums.net

After the death of an electrician this week in a M&S shop (probably due to working live but we dont know yet) I thought it would be an idea to post up a pdf for safe isolation. Lets keep ourselves safe lads, read it and there are some great step by step guides on the last few pages.

http://www.esc.org.uk/fileadmin/user_upload/documents/industry/best_practice/BPG2_09.pdf

More pdfs are on the ESC web site, get them down loaded and have a look through them all. Dont worry if they are a bit above your knowledge at this moment in time, they wont be for long and there are great for revision.

Not a PDF but useful stuff you can down load....

Dont forget to give the opening poster Bigbaddave a like or a thanks for doing this.

Mods any chance you can duplicate that thread into this section as a sticky?

I wish there was something like the that link but for the c&g 2357 course that i am on but seen as it is new i guess there are no sample test papers and that

Here's one for using ladder / traywork. loads of good stuff relating to cable spacing, derating factors and securing large cable etc.

Those doing City and Guilds 2357 or 2365 (so, most of us, then!) might find this useful:

http://cdn.cityandguilds.com/Produc..._3/Assessment_materials/2357_all_drawings.pdf

It's from the City & Guilds website, it is a PDF of all the plans and scenarios you'll be using in your assignments. Useful if the copies you've been given by college are illegible.

Although it's for the 2357, I can't see any difference between these figures and the ones I've been using for the 2365, they've just got different references on them. Check carefully, though! :)
