Using plastic CU next year

Just seen this product which will allow you to continue using your favourite consumer units next year.

Also don't think this product would be used in new installs to put in a plastic CU,because I thing manufacturers will stop making plastic CU's (only time will tell on that). Seems this company have hit on what they think may be a little niche in the market for overly worried customers and rogue sparks telling them their plastic CU is no longer complaint?

I really think they've gone about this new reg the complete wrong way, Imo they should of been including the need for smoke/heat alarms near to consumer units. Could even have them connected to a contractor to cut the supply.

Blimey !! That's going a bit far.
Don't know what his hourly rate would be for waiting around, but sounds like an expensive option to me :yes:
