Im on my second Renault Trafic sport, had three vivaros in the past. Superb vans. I went to renault as you got more for your money, better deals and better customer service.
had a call from Dales in cornwall the other day, they have New Trafic sports in stock for £12500+VAT

1005 tax deduction, something shiney to drive and like you say, its your shop front.
No brainer really.

I have seen and spoken to owners with the Hyundai iload they have loved them and like the cars have a long warranty I think (might be wrong).
I am sticking with my T4, 12 years old, looking reasonably good and has never let me down (I might regret typing that now) I do however have an oil leak on the crankshaft seal that I really must do!

The new transits are expected in by the end of the year, but the only change is cosmeticv, the engine and drivetrain are the same as the current model.

I have just bought a new transit and got a really good deal on it because the dealers are trying to get rid of thier old stocks ready for thr new models which will not be getting much of a discount! (it was much cheaper than the sport that vxwestie mentions, and it has a higher level of knobs and buttons!)

I just gave up my old vivaro, only 70,000 on a 54 plate, and the synchro on the gearbox went. value of the repair was more than the van by the time you add in a clutch and the labour. One mechanic i spoke to said that the gearbox problems witt the vivaro and the trafic still have not been solved. YOu might be lucky and get one that lasts, but the majority are poor.

I also prefered the cab in the transit, more storage for the mobile office! bigger in the back. The only thing i dont like is the rials for the roof rack, i think the vivaro can carry more weight on the roof.

A freind of mine has just bought the hyundai and he likes it but he says the economy and engine power of it is poor. He is going to chip it to see if he can improve it, if he does i will let you know!

Hi mate, sorry to hear you've had such a pain with the van, no doubt costing you a fortune also.
I have been very lucky with previous vans.
My current one is a Fiat Scudo 55 plate, 112k miles.
bought it for £2,200 cash in April this year, it's got 3k worth of receipts and service history, I replaced the clutch as it was juddering when moving off, the mechanic said the cause for this was a split o ring rubber seal causing gearbox oil to drip into the clutch causing it to grab, since the work it's been great, I drive it around like a pensioner as I want it to last, and touch wood its been mint, it's great on fuel too.
I did think transit. Or vivaro when looking but went Italian and haven't looked back.
