Jeeeez they are rubbish get her a Duster if you want to get rid of her........

As she is a nurse how much do they pay her to fund a car for her journeys as then work around that figure.
Yeah but sometimes you just have to give in and buy them what they want for an easy life....like the Dyson hair dryer I brought her for xmas

I have a kiario vr7. My sister has a kia ceed. My brother in law a sportage on order. They are all very spacious inside. My boots massive. Handles well. Good mpg around town. Its a 1.25 litre but goes really well. I paid 7k for it last year. Had Only done 23k when i got it. Has kias warranty for another 3.5 years. Just get an annual service anywhere but use kia parts to keep it. The kia garage around here will do any minor checks fixes etc for free. On my sisters ceed they had to replace a wing mirror as it ceased up. They did it without question under warranty. So have a look at kias for a good reliable make and price. Buy from kia used for peace of mind and warranty. They also hold the value well.

i get 36mpg from my hiace. hate to think what it would be if petrol, probably around 22mpg. and it's not got any dpf or other snide gadgets that have only one purpose in life...to milk the owners' wallets.

The dpf thingy can be slowed down by a good rev out to keep it flowing.
older diesels that did not work hard sooted up too.
That is simpified , but when you take them in it is all they do, the computer revs the guts out of them in a sequence , sometimes it works ; others it's around ÂŁ1400 for a replacement . That is ecology for you.

I driven a lot of cars abroad ,VW always come on top in my estimation
.
I did enjoy the little touches on VW Passat .
Long press on remote sorted windows /
+ Tailgate lock option
(but there was an un-expected bonus -)
--In really cold both door locks failed to catch shut -
(Did one journey out of desperation with front doors roped
to each other - than be late for work )
--Herbie movie took on , a whole new meaning for me--
