Visit to the doctors

I had cause to visit my doctors yesterday. While in the waiting room I noticed all the sockets had the child covers on. I got talking to the doctor about this in his consulting room and just to prove a point I took one of the covers off a socket at the side of his desk, upended it and shoved it in the earth and then showed him the open L / N shutters. He’s on the phone like a shot to the practice manager to come and have a look at it. Showed them the Fatally Flawed web site and left them to panic!

I took the kids to legoland yesterday and saw these "socket protectors" everywhere.

We all need to keep banging the drum against these things.
Your all qualified people and your views should carry some weight within your community.

I’m due back at the doctors on Thursday, so will see if I’ve done any good there.

Success!

Went back to the doctors today, not a socket safety cover in sight. The Sherwood Forest NHS Trust has withdrawn the use of them from all surgeries.

It just goes to show how the brain works I used one of those for years to open the socket blinds before I had a R1+R2 plug and never made the obvious link
