wago din rail conectors

Hi all
I have been looking at a consumer unit change today, and feel I may have to extend the cable due to little slack in the old c/u. Have price up the topjob s but coming out quite expensive, any alternates.

wago 862 will do without din rail and you get 3 terminals in one... they 32A rated, but you will struggle to get anything bigger than 2.5mm in there.
if you need something cheaper than wago on din rail then weidmuller or phoenix may do the job, have a look on cpc or rs sites.

In my experience IMO is just a slightly cheaper version of the standard din connectors mentioned above, so how on earth can using them be doing the job any more properly than has been discussed?

But the vast majority of people have been discussing those din rail type connectors, both the wago type and the normal type.
The OP was specifically asking about the din rail connectors!

Thanks for your input. think customer will just have to stand the cost, will use the 2006 Series (41A)
for all but he shower. but why does the earth have three ports @ 2 quid

The wago earth connectors also earth to the din rail so be warned for testing. I usually use a normal wago connector for the earth so I can test from the CU.

use normal din rail connectors.

the idea behind the earth terminals connecting to the din rail is for use with the screen in control cables etc.

if your just extending then you dont want to use earth connectors
