Discuss Wagos in trunking in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Surely it's no different to extending a T&E inside a consumer unit using some wagos, etc. where it's a bit short. And the joint is accessible by just popping the trunking lid off, which is no more difficult than opening an MF enclosure.

Why not just a large enough adaptable box with wago din push in things? Trunking either side of it if theres space?
aDon't you guys read the//

Because if you know the joint is in the CU then, not far to look for it, however in trunking where do you start looking?

Is 412.2.2.3 relevant in this case? My thinking is the trunking lid can be removed without a tool and the Wago connector is not IP rated.

It's an interestring point. However, "devils advocat" - it's possible to remove the grille of a 600x600 flouresent (and most 4ft and 5ft's) to access live terminals. Eithert by undoing a knurled screw on the 4/5ft's, or simply sliding the diffuser out on a 600x600....

I’ve only skipped through this thread, am having difficulty reading in the sun out in the garden, with the prospect of booze coming my way anytime soon. I digress.

I would not like putting any sort of connectors in trunking, they could easily be disturbed when other cables are pulled in or installed at a later date. They should be placed in a suitable enclosure etc. Hic. I would not expect to find connectors in trunking, therefore could expose an future trades person to unnecessary risk, if the become disconnected.

Think BBQ is on the cards this weekend, much to the annoyance of some, errgh Westy :)

Those terminals will still be IP2X though.

The repair kit is actually sold by WAGO for that specific purpose (in the wall repair). I had wondered myself about shrinking individually first...
