Wago's , junction boxes and choc blocks whats best with downlighters

I use a choc box with wago connectors so much easier and quicker. Got the tip from the forum thanks to whoever devised that!

I always use the ashley downlighter junction box with 1mm flex down to lights there a bit expensive but save time in the end and there's plenty of room for cables.

I havent used wagos before. I still use those crappy normal connector blocks. Wheres the cheapest place to get these wagos and are they any good compared to normal crappy connector blocks

they are far better and tbh most wholesalers charge the same price for them. try an independent or the electric ctr

you should have gone to elex they had them on special offer , if they are approved for use in air craft then they are ok for me , i shall be trying out the din rail mount ones when i do a CDU relocation , hardly ever use crimps or terminal block nowadays they are just a superb invention

has been mentioned on the forum that the ashley type screw JBs are no longer allowed for downlights. Why? the only reason i can see is that they are not fixed to a joist, but then, neither are wago boxes fixed. can't be because they're screw terms. because they are accessible. any body shed light in this?

ashley do the lever or push fit ones also but a little expensive in my opinion.

its cause they dont have wire grips to hold the wires in place. I think the regs say cord grips.
