What are your opinions on this?

Went to have a look at a rented property that was owned by a lady I had done work for previously.

The previous tenants had caused a bit of damage to sockets, fittings etc so i was just in there to give a general idea of the cost involved to replace. I am not doing a PIR but like i say just giving her a rough idea of the cost.

On opening a cupboard i found this



I know the CU is closer than 6" and may need rectifying but what should I do about the close proximity of the Service head / Meter to the Gas meter?

I will give them a bell on Monday. They can come and have a look and also see the 'Newly' installed gas meter as well!!

tell them there's a funny smell coming from the cut-out, and it ain't gas.

I wonder really if it makes a scrap of difference.... if the room fills up with gas and there's a spark it's gonna blow whether it's 150mm or 1.5m....but you cant let your --- get singed I suppose
