Self employed at mo on ÂŁ120 a day subbing to a guy who has plenty coming up. I have to pay all my fuel, van insurance etc.
But just been offered a job on the books on ÂŁ13ph with time half after 40 hours, van, holidays etc.
What would you guys go for?

Thanks

Na u never mate. It's do I earn the extra ÂŁ40 a week or join a company on the books and get van, holidays etc and chance of some overtime at time an half that's all.

Depends on your incomming money requirements, if you don't need a silly wage then at the moment I would take the employment and van, long term though if you can find the work then self employment can be rewarding, mainly due to coming and going as you please, however sleepless nights over unpaid invoices and bills on your wall will counteract that haha.

That's the prob at the min. Looking to get a mortgage as trying to save a deposit but its not knowing when I'm going to receive my pay check. Don't help when the guy I'm subbing to says he's waiting for payments etc before he can pay us.
