What grinds my gears...........
Not a lot - I'm a fairly tolerant old bar steward.
But a few things............in no particular order.

Stupid old pharts at the supermarket check out. They must know the have to pay so get ready rather than digging around in a cavernous handbag to find the cards and all the money off coupons before you get there........instead of holding up the whole freakin queue.

Written English. We all had to go to school until at least age sixteen. Spelling in the forums I frequent can be atrocious. I don't normally comment on it unless it evokes a bit of humour.

And incorrectly expressed units.
Not Kw, kW.

Apart from that............

i was about to comment on grammar and punctuation too ... before I re-read 'Spelling in the forums I frequent can be atrocious.' I am glad I did not put my foot in it!

Would you believe we have an entertainer over here who goes by Kevin ''Bloody'' Wilson [emoji14]
First time I heard anything of his was about 20 years ago. Living Next Door To Abo's was the song (to the tune of Living Next Door To Alice for those unfamiliar with it)

Let him off.

He has a valid reason for not spelling very well

He's detoxic ....... or .. summat.

Fair point Geordie. However, I suspect that some could do more to improve their standard of communication. I regularly check the spelling and usage of words online when I'm not sure. I even find myself looking up the same thing repeatedly because it's not sunk in the first time. It just takes a bit longer than bashing out the first thing that comes into your head.

If you really want to take the time, you can compose something in MS Word, run a spelling and grammar check, and then paste it into the forum. It might even give the opportunity for a sanity check on the technical content at the same time.
