My Marshall stack only goes to 10........Talking about volumes at my last gig the mixer guy was angry at my band because we had all are amps cranked haha! I want to see his face next time i go back going to bring 2

Yep ...... when I was a sound man that was my main beef and is why I stopped working with amateurs & went working with the pros. I got a hell of a lot more money but most of all a lot of respect.

It's no joke to get flack from the punters when it's something that's beyond your control because the "stars" on stage are on a power trip.

I have been known to walk out of a Working Mens club gig and leave the guitarist's who was the main culprit's wife in charge of the desk and went home for an early night.

That band was off the road for three weeks while they found a replacement for me.

Moral of the story: Don't fluck with the sound man!!!

Your stage volume should be dictated by how hard the drummer hits. The PA is there to do the ear drum bursting mate. Remember, the audience are there for one night and will have time for their ears to adjust back to normal. You could be there night after night after night cranking it out.
Stage volume (relatively) low, house volume LOUD ENOUGH TO PIN THEM ALL TO THE BACK WALL

Exactly right!!! :)

Television programs that I like to watch but can't hear a word that's being said for the "background music" that's anything but "background" - and mumbled dialogue.

The Royal family, Carol ******* Voldemorte, Boy racers, chavs with Staffies, groups of kids hanging around looking very sus, 2 checkouts open with 45 people waiting, Checkout operators who don't offer to pack, screaming kids, Scousers, Mel ******* B, Energy companies, customer services in Delhi, plastic handbags., Brie, burgers.

I can sympathise with much of that........but I won't be giving my faux patent leather handbag!!!

People who can't string a sentence together without dropping the F bomb 57 times. Sampling in "music", autotune. Cheryl Cole/Tweedy/whatever the hell it is today, just keep quiet love.
Football, most American sports (what the hell is the point?) Strictly Come Dancing (why would you want to go dancing at all, let alone strictly?) Eastenders, how do they cram so much abject misery into such a small area? Those Honda cars that look like a wedge on wheels. The way that a real life conversation has to take second place when someone's mobile rings.
Hip Hop. In particular, Eminem, I'm sick of your incessant whining about how terrible your multi millionaire life is and your problems with your wife/girlfriend/daughter/mother. Grow a pair and deal with your **** mate.
Asda.
What's up with asda like?

Well, we all seem to be grumpy old pharts.......so I won't break the mould....:)
Litter louts are another of my beefs. But a tale from a few months ago.

We, Mrs B and I, were going into a supermarket. As usual, I did the manly thing. I went to get the shopping trolley. An elderly woman (elderly? probably ten years my junior TBH) was doing likewise. There were some papers in the trolley, discarded receipts, and she chucked them on the ground.

She saw me looking at her.
"None of your business."
"Lady, it is everybody's business."

I made a mistake. I addressed her as lady.

If I were you, I'd work on quality rather than quantity.

I don't even know what the post count means. Do you get some money or a medal? I am only here for a bit of a laugh and to talk about something that I love. Others seem to adore there post count like lifting heavy weights in the gym. Means nothing to me.

Life is too short to be all serious.

I was clearly having a laugh and 1 person decides to have a dig. Shame.

Woukd be nice to meet a few of these blokes in a pub. If there birds would let them of course?? ;-)

I'm all for humour. Just not bad English.
