I despise the place, and all the others. All pretence to common courtesy goes out of the window in those places in the pursuit of "I want what I want and I want it now!"

I think it's incredibly sad that kids see their route to fame and fortune through the X Factor, The Voice, Britains Got Talent and the like.
What happened to spending the time to learn how to play an instrument properly then getting in a series of bands and slogging your way around learning your trade, paying your dues as it was known

We're drowning in an ocean of crap manufactured by Cowell and his ilk. Where a DJ can rip off someone else's song put a slightly different set of 3 word repetitive lyrics over it and call it his own. WTF is that all about? Where someone can make a career of whining about his relationship problems.

I'd like that too although it'll never happen, I think it's strange that Gilmour was asked about it and dismissed the idea saying that touring is a young man's game. Then he books a massive tour to promote On An Island

your right, there.

my stepdad was watching a show on status quo, he changed the tuning on the guitar in less than 10secs to a different key while he was chatting to the camera about something else.

i dont care who you are, it takes a lot of practice and a good ear to tune instruments quickly.

(i should know when i played in a band we slightly tweaked out tuning out of reference so each of us would stand out if we wanted)

nothing like standing up playing on your own infront of 200+ people to gain confidence

Have you ever written out a long post, gone to post it and had the box pop up which asks you if you want to leave the page, then tells you you've been blocked?
Nobody seems to know why it happens and it is annoying, but splitting the post into several smaller ones sometimes seems to work.

that will be cloudflare, the problem is only dan can see the settings to see exactly what would cause it.
