Just a quick check in to see what you guys have all been up to lately. Not been online for a while myself.

You been anywhere nice on holiday? Had any new employees? Had any awesome jobs come in? Moved house?

...Same house, same missus, same beautiful children, work has exploded like we are making up for recession, hope it's not false dawn...everything good, those we grew to love, leave, and the odd arrival fills the void...the world keeps turning and always remember, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't force-feed a camel maltesers

So it was a PM from Paul M that got my attention about it first, so perhaps thank him maybe. I'm sure other mods and members had PM'd or whatever though I haven't managed to catch up fully.

Do not send me any thanks or likes about this. It was the members that brought this forward and made it happen. I was just the first voice to be heard.

Looking forward to this section although I'm not in the same league as you guys. Think it will be a great forum.

I have not posted anything in the 2 1/2 years I have enjoyed this forum and that is in the main that I should not really be here because I am not now a UK electrician, having been living and working in Southern Spain for the last 12 years. However I could not help myself and wanted to see what life for you guys was like back in the UK. I work here to a slightly different set of regs and installations to the UK, the two main ones being that RCD's are mandatory on all circuits on all installations and more than half of domestic installations are three phase. Also, due to the failures of the supply network all new installs must have both transitory and permanent overvoltage protection. I do notice however that you guys are gradually having to change to met our European norms.

Hi Bernard, you may be right, all last week,i slept every afternoon, and tomorrow,i'm spraying the local council offices with cattle slurry...:conehead:

Getting ready to go back to work after 12 weeks on the sick, can't continue with my old job because of my duff back, think they have some sort of desk job for me, not sure really if I'm looking forward to it, been in the electrical field since I left School in 1961, bit late to start something new, but it cash after all.

Ah Holiday, yes I seem to remember that word somkething to do with having some time off abroad or not as the case maybe.

No to new employees.

Awesome jobs no again.

Moved house, yes in October 2011 if that counts.

Now just going out to purchase a syphon for my toilet, oh and while I think about it, some rubber gloves.

Heres one for you to think about while munching on your bacon butties

What does your consultant cardiologist say?
Not sure why they should take notice of a cardiologist who has a degree in medicine, many years of post qualification experience, continuing professional education and who in a court of law would rightly be considered an expert.
