What is that component?

Hi guys

I want to know what this component is. I cant find datasheet online.
It was connected to a ni-mh rechargeable battery pack. The batteries are connected in series. The red wire was connected to the positive side and the component to the negative side of the batterypack. Thanks in advance.

My suspicion would be a fuse or thermal cut-out to reduce the change of exploding batteries.

Can you measure it with a multimeter to see what resistance it has?

It's a thermal fuse. From the type number I would expect it to be 75°C

Resistance is 0.04 Ohm. Thanks for the quick answers.

I know for certain it is a thermal cutout,
will stop the charging if the batterys get too hot
