i think you guys hacve missed the most important tool in a sparks tool box! (well industrial/commercial anyway)

17mm spanner/socket! get the unistrut socket, if you work on industrial or commercial jobs, then you will use this until your arm falls off!

other metal munching tools: a decent second cut file
decent hacksaw (bahco or stanley for me)
hacksaw blades: 18 tpi for unistrut or thick materials
24tpi for general cutting of tray/trunking/conduit
32 tpi for thin materials ie light gauge tray
10mm flat screwdriver
ratchet with extension bar and selection of sockets, 8mm (M5), 10mm (M6), 13mm (M8), 17mm (M10), 19mm (M12) are used mostly. in brackets are the metric size threads that will require this socket size
get the abovesizes as ratchet spanners also
a decent square (also get a protractor attachment to it for accurate manufacture of bends and sets)
steel level with magnets (wickes proffessional or stabila are good)
set of grips/pliers
bush spanners for conduit (get the attachements for your ratchet on ebay)

i think ive covered most metal munching tools, but im sure others will add to it!

I think he is just starting out so was looking for the basics. I assume he will be working with someone who will perhaps supply the more obscure tools we accumilate over the years.

Hello everyone, i have just bought a Dewalt dc820n but then realised that its the wrong one that i needed. I was actually suppose to purchase the Dc820kb which is the better, more efficient version. Initially i was quite reluctant to admit that i made a good mistake but now i know that i'm just being stupid, so can anyone advise me to a place where i could get the package for good price. Well cheaper than the normal rrp? :)
