By outside I mean in the garage. We have a couple of dogs who live in there so it's safer than in here.

Never found the 17th edition in .pdf format. Did manage to get a copy of 'The practial Guide to testing & Inspection' and a couple of other useful files but no 17th edition.

If you don't have an apprentice then a 'Pad' saw for plaster board is really useful. An Old knackered wide blade screw driver so you don't get tempted to hit your shiney new 1000v rated ones. A decent claw and club hammer and a set of basic voltage testers.

As the man said don't buy crap tools unless you want to replace them in a few months. Or buy crap tools and replace them every few months. Most people go for the first option.

Where is best to get a good voltage detector, proving unit and there megger 52 from?
