My most recent tool will be the dog, Spot. I feed the dog and the dog keeps me away from the equipment :)

Yes, likely Spot will not be his proper name, as a few have pointed out to me that it's not really the name for a bright up and coming young dog. But he does have spots ! After I scrubbed all the mud off him I found he has a fine series of leopard type spots, or perhaps it's camo? They're mostly on his ears and nether regions. Gratuitous ear pic below. Cheers, David.

and my next well I have repaired my drill so dont have anything in mind atm

"so dont have anything in mind atm" - what's wrong with you man? It's in our genes - it's,it's, it's like women and shoes!

My tape has given up the ghost and won't retract back the last 9 1/2 inches - there's only so many jokes you can take before you slap someone!

Yep. I have a permanent list of possible tools to buy when the job justifies it, or there's an offer that's just too good to miss, or I just feel the need.

I feel the need. The need for ... tools!
OK, doesn't rhyme.

It's only money that stops you - does make it more special when you get what you want at a bargain price though. Went into the Arco 3 day 30% off sale on the first day and bought £90 worth of stuff for £38 and that was including a pair of Draper expert side cutters for £7.80 less 30% + vat. 160mm which is a size I don't have but now I do. Dangerous
