Went to install some dado trunking and new lighting in a small outside shed last week, allowed day and a half for work (quote) and did it in one day. Customer asked if any discount for doing in one day and said would knock ÂŁ80 off. I was happy and so was he. Later that night he text me saying panel heater isn't working! Now apart from unplugging it from existing socket and plugging into new dado not touched it at all! Spoke to him today and says it's the rocker switch on the heater that isn't working and 'Its strange how it stopped working after I'd been' he went on to say it would be ÂŁ80 for a new heater and he'd meet me half way on a new one! I said I hadn't had anything to do with it so reluctant to pay anything more! Going to look at it tomoz, any opinions on this? Thanks

Just tell this guy straight, (nicely or otherwise) that on reflection, ....the work you installed and tested did not include or involve in any way whatsoever your existing appliances. You will not be getting further involved in inspecting/checking the said heater free of charge, and certainly, will not be contributing to it's replacement in any form... End Of!! lol!!

Sure I read somewhere once that you can redirect incoming phone calls to Premium rate numbers that never answer, then the caller racks up a huge phone bill without knowing it until the bill arrives! :)

That's what I'd do.
